Get Ready For Impact!

By Peter Roe. I use 3 main software packages for making the work, XSI for Modelling, Photoshop for texturing and 3D studio Max for rendering. There’s probably not enough space here for me to go into much detail sorry, but in terms of time, I would say it would condense down to about 6-9 months of work. I worked on these pieces on and off in my spare time over the past couple of years so it’s hard to know exactly how long it took. Hope that gives you some insight.

I applied the textures first and then rendered the scene. I created the textures in photoshop first, applied them as materials to the objects and then rendered the scene before taking it into afterFX for compositing and colour grading. I also did seperate render passes for the volume light effects and subtle fog.
